• Description Wednesday, February 20, 6 pm: “Stonington Goes Global: The Career of Captain Edmund Fanning,” sponsored by the Stonington Historical Society, presented by Meredith Mason Brown at the La Grua Center, 7 Stonington Commons, 32 Water Street in Stonington Borough. Fanning, an extraordinary figure in American maritime history, captained the first American vessel from our region to sail around the world. Admission to the program is free and open to the public.
